Anyone with info on the gulf coast fish kills?

I'm seeing a lot of chatter about large fish kills along the Texas coast as far south as Rockport from the winter storms. Does anyone have insight as to how the rest of the gulf coast is doing? I'm trying to plan a trip to Louisiana but haven't been able to find much info on conditions east of Texas.

I heard about the fish kills in Rockport, then I checked the Gulf Shores (AL.) Fishing Forum and they were not talking about it at all. There aren't any kills that I have heard of down here in South Padre. Good Luck!

Haven’t heard of any. It wasn’t as cold as we’ve had in the past when the redfish took a hit. That was in the late 1980’s and early 2000’s.

Central Texas took a pretty severe hit, from north of Port Mansfield and all the way up to Galveston, although Galveston itself wasn't too bad. I've been checking YouTube under "fishkills" and there are some real horror stories on there. Nothing mentioned of the LA coast though.
