Hi folks. Patrick Metcalf here, on beautiful Richland Chambers Lake.

Welcome Patrick.
Here is a googled report on Lake chamberlain fishing:

Tips & Tactics
Largemouth bass anglers should look for fish congregated around underwater structure where they can be caught with jigging spoons and deep-diving crankbaits. Crappie anglers will have success with jigs or minnows near bridge crossings and in the abundant timber in the upper Richland and Chambers creek arms. Catfishes are everywhere; cut bait, stink bait, chicken livers, and worms are all productive. White bass and hybrid stripers are active from the 287 bridge to the dam. Use a graph recorder to find schools of shad or follow the birds to find schooling activity. Heavy jigs or slabs work well when fish are deep.

Bias... you certainly got my attention with that statement. If such a lake existed, I have never mentioned it here on the stage. I'd like to keep it that way but I'm curious to know if you know. Will you answer a couple of questions please?

In the Sept/Oct 2020 issue of Bassmaster Magazine there is an article that lists the best little known lakes and reservoirs for bass fishing in California. Is the following statement True or False? The lake you are talking about was not mentioned in the article.
Question #2 In a race from one end of the lake to the other end of the lake between an $80K Ranger with a 250HP motor and my 30 year old Stratos with a 120HP motor, who would win?

My two questions are for real Dang. We really do have a lake you can go to in April and catch a 25lb limit each and every day of the month and many days catch two limits of that size. As hard as it is to imagine such a lake exists, it does and has escaped national exposure. I'll even give away the answer to the first question. We breathed a sigh of relief and then laughed our asses off when that Bassmaster article came out!

Wish it was my lake! I'd build a house on it and never leave. The lake belongs to us Nor Cal natives and there are other reason we've been successful at keeping it off the radar for now. But with social media and everything that makes the world smaller it won't surprise me if the word gets out.

cannot remember the issue of Texas Parks and Wildlife in which the statement was made. My good friend that lives in Gainesville got really ticked about it.

When it comes to water craft I am not a boat owner. Prefer water wagons that the bass can turn in circles.

you should enjoy the lake.
