my great uncle who's not with us anymore had a glass flask with mercury in it. Said it was from where he used to work, at an electrical supply company that ended up branching out into making quite a lot of appliances and other things everyone had in their home back in the early part of the past century.Guess you could call that a vessel of mercury.

I have about fifteen pounds of mercury. Not sure what to do with it.
When I was young, the stuff was valuable!

this stuff is or was valuable...its been found under the temple recently excavated in china and has been found in egypt in one of the tombs or pyramids...experts say it was used for electricity of sorts...to carry current somehow.yes...they even had flashlights too!

It appears that your subject has been highjacked!
I have Vessel View on my 115 Merc. I bought it when it first came out; I think I caught an introductory deal direct from Mercury. It gives you a lot of info and also some useless (to me) GPS related data. Fortunately I haven't needed it to diagnose any problems. Easy install. Sign up on the Mercury website and wait around for a while. They may send you a coupon.

I have it on my new 225 4stroke. I bought the module online for about $170 bucks. Took about 10 minuites to install it. I have used it to track fuel use, max rpm and other things. If you boat does not have vessel view already I think it is worth the cost. I have not yet had an alarm but it should tell me what it is. Might save you a tow.
