Will crappie powerbait nibbles work for trout?

No way! The trout look at those and go "what kinda crappy fish do you think we are anyway?"
I think you should let us know. Fish two rods, one with crappie nibble and one with power bait trout bait. See which works best. I know what Berkley would tell you. No. You MUST go buy some trout bait. I don't know why they wouldn't. Just my opinion, I've never used them for trout.

Smiley: Spirit is probably correct. But you wont know until you run your own experiement and judge for yourself. There's not law, no written rule what fish would like to eat. Who decided that catfish would like shrimp, they've never seen one! Or Chicken livers, or any foreign protein? Just Sayin...RJS

I have seen rainbow trout bite on crappie nibbles on a cork. Even pink playdough.

Stocked trout will eat almost anything thing, until they get use to the wild.
Biggest trout i ever caught was on a piece of cheese.
