There was 3 of us out there. 1 of the guys caught 3 Redfish, all between 36-40"

We tried to release this 42" several times but he went belly up. He was still alive but couldnt swim away, so I tagged him and kept him. I really felt bad about it.

I'm sorry to hear about it too. I have never caught a red that big or cleaned one, worms? Taste?

Thanks. It didnt have any worms. I'm not a big fish person (eating). I'm more of of a shellfish guy. I baked a couple of its fillets and it was very dense not flaky. I seasoned it with S&P, onion & garlic powders, a little old bay and melted butter on top. It was OK. Not as good as the couple smaller Black drums we caught earlier in the week.

It was my first big bull drum and it was a great catch especially since i was getting my hook hung up all over the place.

Good day. It was definitely a good one for us down south - almost non-stop action. Had dolphins around most of the time and saw a big sea turtle too. Thanks for the pictures.
