This may be too specific of a question, but does anyone know any good lures that catch big largies in PA? My pb smallmouth is 4lb and my pb largie is 1.5. I started fishing 6 months ago

SnooPies3279: Well, partner, I have little knowledge of either PA or lures for bass in your neck of the woods.
But this spring, when bass spawn, I would look for female bass on their nests and while they won't be eating, they will not allow any intrusion around their nests. You can aggravate them into striking. Perhaps a big ugly jig of some type, or a shallow diving lure, anything that will get within a couple of feet of the nest. Please post a picture. Spring ladies on their nest. Just bug them to catch them but let them go back to the nest

In Pa it is illegal to target bass in spawning beds from Mid April to Mid June (not sure of this years exact dates). I would suggest talking to local anglers and bait shops. I’m in NE Pa, using black/blue jigs in stained water, and pumpkin jigs and senko sin clear water.
Good Point, Bobio777: If you fish in any state and don't know the laws of what, how, and where you fish, limits, and such, you are asking for a fine and it may be a large one. Just Sayin....RJS
