Yikes! Great fish...I can only dream of catching something like that, but not likely here in WI as our State Record is 11-3.

I'm sure lots of folks will get fired up over this Audi. And don't get me wrong as any teen bass is amazing. But here in Cali, a 13 might get you some print in a high school newsletter. I'm more impressed that Texans are counting that high now. It was damn embarrasing when someone from Oklahoma had to come down and do it for them.

Those are some massive bass. I’ve actually fished at Lake Austin back when the kids were young. We would tent camp on the lake and I’d wade fish at night with top water for bass. I caught some really nice ones. I would also get buzzed by the bats flying trying to get my lure. LOL
Hack 🇺🇸🍺🍺

BB... if 8 show up in Kansas I have two questions for you...1) How long is the line going to be consisting of Texas anglers with a strong desire to kick my ass? 2) What are the odds I'll return home driving my truck vs laid out in a coffin?

You gotta admit though, that last one was damn funny! Lol. Someone from Oklahoma to come down.... and oh son! Don't you know they were laughing like hell in the privacy of their own home when they read that.

Never caught a thirteen pounder
but did catch a 11/5 and the pros around said it would have been a thirteen pounder
if she hadn't just spawned
that was at Lake Fork

Pretty sure if I ever caught a 13 lber, i'd kiss it, release and die from a heart attack with a big old smile on my face.
BB... congratulation on being a member of the double digit club. Much respect to you for that and you know what? If I have to wait till I'm your age to tell a young un about me double digit bass that will be great because that means I'm only a little more than half way through my fishing years! Lol

BB and all Texas anglers, let me explain why I so quick with the smart alec comments. My first wife lived in Texas when I loaded up everything she owned and brought her out to Cali. Her sister married Dennis who lived in Texas pretty much his whole life. We became fast friends and over the years we arranged outdoor adventures where he'd fly here ir me there that became a friendly competition which state had the best fishing and hunting. Northern Cali was very different in the 80's, early 90's than what it is today. Hardly any people back then. Anyway what happened was we remained true to our home state but Dennis fell in love with NorCal and I fell in love with Texas.
Trust me though, we talked a lot of smack to each other over the years. I remember when he had me come to Texas for bass fishing trip. Oh man, I really let him have it what a waste this was going to be. I think we were going to stay three days and when we got to the lake we stopped at a bait shop. Dennis hands the guy his minnow bucket and says "12 please." I said Dennis, 12 minnows. He says no Steve, 12 dozen. We set up our camp, launched the Jon boat and about four hours later came back to camp with lots of daylight left. The minnow bucket was empty and I had to do first aid on my bleeding thumb. From then on, bass fishing was always part of a Texas trip.
When I caught my wife sleeping around on me the worst part of the divorce was losing the relationships with her family. Dennis and I tried to continue on for a few years but the family made it to difficult.
What I'm saying is that I still miss Dennis and I miss Texas. Teasing you'all reminds me of a time when Texas was a big part of my life. So, as you can see it's nothing personal and I'm not being mean.
