Name is Earl Hanson. Live in Roseville. Have just started exploring the area which includes the American and Sacramento River. Also checking out foothills, Amador lake etc.... This looks like a good forum to get the lay of the land. Thanks.

Welcome Earl. If Spiritof27 chimes in pay attention, he knows your area like the back of his hand. He’s your neighbor, just down in Lincoln. Amador, Pardee, Camanche, New Melones are all great lakes. Even New Hogan for stripers. And then there is the Sierras with tons of lakes and rivers.
Good luck and tight lines.
Hi everyone, I fished the ocean for 50 years and so tired of the wind and waves. I’m trying to learn the Sacramento River stripper fishing. I have a 15’ Dauntless center console that works well in the river. Looking for suggestions on hot spots. I have launched at Discovery Park trolling down river without luck. I also fished out of Rio Vista. Many places to go and lots of shakers up river.
Can’t remember stripper spot but it is off hwy 80 . Just bring your pole and dollar bills for bait 😜
