Highest grossing films of the 50's - half of them were Biblical epics. Times have sure changed. Can you name these and who starred in them? Anybody gets the first one, I'll be shocked. I had never heard of it.

Wow, I saw #2 at the movies. Was so long there was an intermission 1/2 through.
I agree with OJ on his answers, before I scrolled down to it.

charlykilo, you had to have looked that up?
Mary Martin was in the musical on Broadway. That's Mitzi Gaynor in the photo. Too easy huh?
Case you didn't notice, that is Obi-Wan Kenobi wearing those khakis.

Robert I usually can't remember where I put my keys, but for some reason these old movies (and some of the newer ones) linger on. I just love movies, always have.

Not sure on the first one - could it be 'Cast a Giant Shadow' ?
#2 - Yul Brynner/'The Ten Commandments'
#3 - Sir Alec Guinness/'Bridge on the River Kwai' ?
#4 - South Pacific ?
#5 - Charleton Heston/'Ben-Hur'

Yes indeed. That first one was called - I had to check again - Cinerama Holiday. You could look it up. It's in the book.
