Many of you may remember that i am coming from NC fishing which was all salt water. Now have moved near Liberty and looking for some input.

Been many years since fishing fresh water and honestly the memory has failed me. If you rather Pm me so not to give away your tips to the world that works for me, or just spell it out here on the stage.

Looking for what lb braid or fluoro, weight size if any, lures, worms fake or real, suggested knots, fish off the shore line, the middle, creeks. You guys know what i am after. I will be kayaking my way around hopefully come April when the temps are up.

Not after your spot just after a dinner or two on a bi weekly basis.

Thanks anyway G, as of now doesn't look like anyone around these parts on the stage. I will try again in another month.

I can't help out much I haven't fished Liberty since I was a kid. All I used to catch was bluegills using a worm and bobber. There's supposed to be big bass below the dam but I've never fished there. I always fished off Nicodemus road outside of Reisterstown and that was back in the 70's and 80's.

Downtown Sykesville is a cute little town and a river where u can fish and parking is easy (bank fishing), there is a boat ramp off if Liberty road after the first bridge there is a liquor store on the corner. The ramp and trails are found if you turn right immediately after the liquor store. Nicodemus road had tons of places. If u see people parked just join then a d for sure there are plenty of trails . Good luck!!

Saw this old post when looking for Liberty. Did ya ever have any luck when you went there ? I was thinking of doing a trip there sometime but not sure how the shore fishing is. Or what kayak rental rates were. I'll prob hit Seneca lake first since it's closer. I went to Clopper but shoreline weeds were bad so hoping it's not the same
