very difficult - but if you watched tv in the fifties, you probably saw them all.

a cowboy
a thief
a flyguy
a sailor

Damn, Spririt ! I was one of those kids who was practically 'glued'
to the TV set throughout the
'50s/'60s, yet none of these even look familiar !

Maybe you'll remember them this way - from their shows.

This one is much tougher. The flyguy is Sky King. His plane was the Songbird and his niece was Penny. I think his name was Kirby Grant.
The sailor looks like Tom Tryon actor and author.
I'll guess that the cowboy was the Cisco Kid and the thief was Richard Greene who played Robin Hood.
How did I do?

You did pretty good. Who played the Cisco kid? And that's not Tom Tryon. Yes, Kirby Grant was Sky King. And Richard Greene was Robin Hood.
The sailor was Adam Troy and that's him on his sail boat the Tiki.
But who played him?

I am sure that Google would help but I don't remember who played the Cisco Kid or who the sailor was. I know that Cisco's sidekick was Pancho. I rarely watched that show. I don't recognize the other show at all. The 50's had so many great shows, seemingly more than now with its hundreds of channels.

Duncan Renaldo played the Cisco Kid. And Leo Carillo played Pancho. Leo was a very big deal in Los Angeles. His California roots went back to the founding of San Diego in the 1700's.

Gardner McCay played Adam Troy on the program Adventures in Paradise, on which he sailed his boat, the Tiki III around the South Pacific.

I recognize all of the names now that I see them. Sometimes you can still see some of the old shows on tv such as 77 Sunset Strip, The Real McCoys and the original Lassie. Do you remember a show called Hotel de Paree?
