Last day of duck season

Got my limit today - makes a new year high of 115. Gave the buddy the rest if them as he has a young family to feed. Will make jerky out of them next week. Now I am after the geese and turkeys. Have a cow elk hunt with my cousin and his son Feb 12. Goose hunt ends Feb 7 and turkey goes until Feb 28.. things are winding down for this year.

Never been bird hunting. All I know is that you need a shotgun. Other than that I'm clueless.

Need birds to. Just kidding. While making sausage this morning a friend came by to check us out. He went dove hunting this morning and didn't see a bird. It happens.

We will sure show you how we hunt them here. We actually had a poor year as we never saw the influx of northern birds so had to rework the local birds. They sure do get smart in a hurry. Just been too warm to move them south. Maybe I’ll just pick one or two species next year and only shoot them -make it more interesting.
