Is this a good chest. What kind do you have. What about a yeti are they really worth the money. Are there a cheaper one that works as well. Unscramble this and check it before you go

6 pack size is good for bait. Forecast says sunny today. A Yeti costs more, cools longer.

My FORECAST does not see a Yeti cooler in my future 😉
I personally don’t foresee a need to keep ice for more than a few days. I am sure they have their place on an elk hunt or another remote camping trip, but all that insulation reduces their capacity. I use my Igloo Playmate from about 1985 for bait and other Igloos and Coleman coolers to keep my beer and food cold. If my ice melts, I will buy some more.

Coleman SHOULD BE a good cooler... I've still got a "picnic jug" Coleman around here somewhere, that "I've known" all my life... I turned 62 a couple months back.
Seems like I ✓ the forecast 2 or 3 times a day, ... Speaking of which, I'd better get myself ready to get out the door, while the weather is agreeable.

I have a couple Yeti's that were given to me. My big igloo works just as good.

I'm waiting for someone to sue yeti because the cup cooler kept their drink to hot for to long and they burned their mouth.

Good point. I will admit I was given a Yeti tumbler and it is awesome. Is it better than the Cabela’s one, or any of my others??? 🤷🏼‍♂️ My coffee doesn’t last that long to worry if it will stay hot for hours. I am just glad I didn’t drop $30 for it 😉

Actually the best I had for keeping things cold, was an old Coleman cooler with the metal sides and top with a latch on it, but that was before coolers had wheels on them.
Lost it with the first wife. But it was worth it. LOL The one I have now has the wheels on it with a telescoping handle so I can take it on piers ect, with out having to pick it up. Being just over 6 foot tall the ones with the small folding handles, means that I have to bend over to drag it out on the wheels.

I agree with you on the old metal Coleman with the latch. Best cooler I ever had for many years.

Our metal Coleman we got as a wedding present in '77 sprung a leak last year. Still keep it for bringing meat home from the locker.

Take an appropriate length of "bouy-line" and just splice yourself a big "ring", onto the handle, might be a solution to that bit of distress.

I’ve had lots of good Coleman coolers in my time but I use Grizzly coolers now. Better than a Yeti and 1/2 the price. Forecast although it’s seldom correct.
