Checked out that website. Pretty sketchy, imo. Had a hard time "clicking on" anything, and when I finally got a response, I was looking at a "clearance" category that had few items (mostly "13" reel products that just look horribly cheapo) and...get this... Berkeley rod rack...."Was $11.99, now $15.99"..... seriously !
If they can't spot an epic fail of that nature, they ain't gonna get $$$ from me, I have zero tolerance for stupid.
Checked out the tackleandrods,com site.
Took a few tries before any response, trying to "click on" categories. When I did get a page, it was clearance items, mostly cheap-looking "13" baitcasters, but get this.... "Berkeley Rod Rack...was $11.99 now $15.99".... seriously !!??
Any biz that can't spot that epic fail (it was listed twice that way !) is certainly not deserving of my $$. I have zero tolerance for stupid folks who want my money.

LAKE SUCCESS
The lake rose to 9 percent of capacity, and the bass action picked up this week. There were many bass caught in the 2 to 4-pound range on jigs and shad imitations. Bass anglers are also catching fish using finesse techniques, spoons, and deep diving crankbaits. Finesse anglers are using a dead stick approach in 20 to 40 feet of water on the drop shot to fool bass while spooning has been effective when anglers meter a deep school of bass. Crankbaits are getting quality bites on main lake points. Catfish are biting very well on dip bait, sardines, and nightcrawlers. Trout anglers are still getting a few fish using Powerbait and nightcrawlers, and there’s a trout plant scheduled for the week of January 17th.
