Glad to hear you’re getting your shot next week FF. I’m still waiting to hear from my VA.

Oh, I got that last week and signed up for the list. Maybe I’ll hear from them in a few months. Thanks FF.

I think many of the members are at the age considered high risk. Including myself. I don't see getting the vaccine in my area before April. Even then the serum takes a few weeks to become effective in our bodies. Postponement may be the best solution for a healthy Fishing Stage membership. That's just my unprofessional opinion.
Randy; or whom ever is watching this. Are you keeping a running talley of those responding? Just Sayin...RJS

Randy, as disappointing as it will be for me, I’m not planning on going this year. I can’t even get together with my family and I don’t when the VA will have the anti virus shots for us. I hope next year the covid will be long gone and we won’t have to contend with wearing those masks.

Hack The VA Baypines here in Florida called me gave me another # to call. I did. So I'm on the list. They said they were giving shots to medical people first. I have appointment with Derm the 12th and another the 13th with Lab. I'll pm you if I get any info if you like.

Bob,
Not a running talley, but will count when it seems all are done responding. So far, it seems to be unanimous to postpone till next year. A few have said they will do whatever the others want but it appears nobody is hard set on having it this May. If I hadn’t already stated we would make a decision in 30 days, I would feel OK about making the decision now, based on all the posts/
responses so far. I would also like to talk to the Park Mgr. about
giving us the same good deal on accommodations next year as he was giving us this year. I believe he probably will, but don’t want to promise until I’ve talked to him.
If there are those who have already made reservations for lodging on their own (ie. hotels,
B&B’s, etc.) you will still have
about three months to cancel or postpone, which should be long enough to avoid being charged.
Most any place would certainly understand with the pandemic.

I, too, want to thank you for all of your hard work you have put in organizing the M&G.
I feel like many that it would be unwise to hold the M&G this year.
I am old enough to be respectful and afraid of the COVID virus, if all of the potential attendees would not certify that they have had the vaccine then I would not be willing to risk attending.
Thanks again for your hard work.
Garry
when I suggested the m&g many months ago,it was to put a face to a name & get like minded folks together. I would feel horrible if this pandemic hit one of us while we were there in Kansas.
Its definitely a no for me,& yes I believe all should b vaccinated to attend
Be safe everyone!!

Sadly, I agree. Currently, it doesn't look good for meeting this May. Put it off 'til later, maybe next year.
Where in Kansas would this happen? Thank you. Interested in attending whenever it happens.

I would side with the majority and vote for postponing it until 2022. Although I was really looking forward to it this May, the uncertainty of when people will get vaccinated and the age group of most FS attendees, I understand the need to be very careful. I may stop and see a couple FS members in my other travels this spring if I decide to take them.
I also want to add my thanks to Randy for his time looking into and planning this idea.
