Hi everyone!!!!! Just got home off the frozen pond. NOPE I didn't fall in this time. Caught 5 small pups about 3pounds is all today.no pictures. Maybe tomorrow.

I think waiting is the safest option, would really hate to see anyone on this sight get sick and,,, well you know. It's not worth it. I would rather live to fight another day. 22 might be better.

Saw you’re saying many of the guys and gals here shouldn’t be able to attend and that’s not real fair. If you’re worried about it maybe it should be you that don’t go. Anyone with respiratory issues, COPD, asthma, dependent on breathing apparatuses can’t get the vaccine. Plus the vaccine has not been proven and reports show a person can still contract the virus even after being vaccinated. What will be the benefit of a meet and greet if only those willing to be vaccinated with an unproven, untested, vaccine that has shown zero results of helping anything yet, are the only ones who can attend in your opinion? I can’t go anyway but it would be very unfair for me to say nobody should go if they don’t do what I think they should do. Isn’t that kind of taking away the freedom to chose? How about if someone says “you can’t attend if you’ve DO get vaccinated?” Puts a whole new light on it huh? Just asking. We all have the the right, so far, to do as we chose. That could change here very shortly. Common sense will take all of us in the right direction. But to have someone say you can’t come if you don’t do as I say? Not right. That’s MY opinion. Yeah I’m from Wyoming. I’ve fished the gorge a lot. It’s just been a few years is all. I’m sure Egg knows the hot spots. It’s only an 8 hour drive for me now. My boys both still live in Wyoming.

Well CH, that's why I said it was my opinion. Not that it matters but if it is held this year there will be quiet a few that can't/won't attend for this reason or that.
However, I do believe that the majority of guys there would feel more comfortable if the attendees have been vaccinated.
Granted, the vaccine isn't available to the masses as of yet, but I for one will get it eventually.
I would like it to be proven a little more for me to get it but I believe it to be safe as of now.
You are very right that it is I who should not attend if too many people feel as you do and do not choose to get vaccinated. In which case I shall not attend such a large gathering of people with such little regard for others health and well being.

It’s actually from processed lamprey. I order it from the UK. It’s really expensive for the good stuff in the U.S. like $49.00 for a 5 ounce bottle. I get the same bottle, which goes a LONG ways from the UK. Shipped right to my door, shipping included, $4.99. It’s good stuff and works great for most fish. Lamprey is illegal to posses in the U.S. and baby lamprey blood is how the top anglers make 100 grand a year pike minnow (squaw) fishing. I checked with all the local authorities and any processed bait or attractant produced by a bait manufacturer is legal to use where scents are allowed. I never plan to cheat at my retirement gig or anything else so I won’t be one of the top anglers in the program until the cheaters have all been busted and the top earners are 30 grand or so a year. Still good money for fishing 5 months in my book. Right now it takes about 20 grand to get in the top 20. There’s usually about 600 anglers in the program. 2020 was less than 1/3 of that so I made it in the top 20 with with 18 grand for 5 months. A little over 1800 fish plus tagged fish and a few bonuses. Tagged fish are $500.00 and lost tags are $100.00 I got two tags and several lost tags. Still tickled me to no end. Not many people get paid 18 grand to go fishing for 5 months. 👍

I suppose you’re right if you feel that way. That would be kinda like asking someone to take you hunting right in the middle of a pandemic that you’ve never met. Get in his truck without a mask for several days and not wear one when you get around a bunch of people you’ve never met. Go out to dinner with them to places you’ve never been and not think a thing about the current pandemic. Spend time with them in their home with little regard as to there well being or if you might catch something from them. Travel all the way there and back, stopping to eat, buy food, get fuel and not worry about the whole mask thing or any vaccines. I hear ya. My guess is there will be fewer people at the meet and greet than say, a local steak house maybe, but who am I to say. I’m not sure how many will be there and I’m sure it will be planned outside.
