Greetings fellow fisherman. I'm new to your forum and wanted to introduce myself. Really like reading the discussions here...fisherman are a group unique unto themselves. Been fishing my whole life. It's an obsession. Grew up in the NE corner of South Dakota fishing Big Stone lake. Spent Summers with my uncle on the Missouri River fishing Lake Oahe. Joined the Air Force in '89 and was stationed in Arkansas for the first time in the late 90's. Stationed here again in 2009 and have never left. Spent the last couple of years building a cabin on Greers Ferry Lake. Love to catch all species of fish. My fish of choice is the Walleye, and Greers is chock full of them. For the most part I have it all to myself as everyone here prefers Bass & crappie. Would love to fish Lake Eerie one day. Would be happy to host someone looking for a new adventure. Really looking forward to future discussions on here. Happy New Year All!

Have been thinking about whether an early spring trip to your area might give us an early start to the spring fishing compared to our area. Problem, have not been to Arkansas and had no idea where to head or how to fish there.
Do you think a week or two maybe in March would be a good time to start the season early compared to central Missouri?
Not seeking to impose on you, but rather interested in an early start this year.
