Welcome to the Stage Chromecycle, so I take it you're a crappie fisherman. Good luck tomorrow, and remember,we love pictures!
Oh yeah, Saw is right, Eyecrosser is the man on Lake of the Ozarks, although he'll be heading for Florida in a few days.

His nickname eyecrosser is from the guy who taught him fishing. He told him to jerk the pole up so hard it will make the fish cross their eyes.

When targeting Lingcod you have to gently bring them to surface because they will just mouth fish and then may not have hook in their flesh. Gotta net them

I'm pretty much on board with Saws method, except for trout and calicos (crappie) which both have soft mouths.

Hey Fred. Even with trout I set the hook pretty hard but I'm using a limber trout rod usually.

I'm not usually fishing for them,so it's usually on my medium spinning rod. When I take the lite or ultralights out, then I swing a little harder.LOL

I don't set hook hard I keep a sharp hook. When shooting docks I fish mainly with a slack line looking for a twitch in the line.
