I hope so Fly guy! let us brag!!!! We deserve it!!!! My grandson last month

Face it. There are too many fathers that haven't done enough for their kids by giving them basic life experiences. Not here though. Our children will remember us for what we did. Those experiences on the water can never be duplicated from a computer screen. When their older they remember and respect us for what we did (spend quality time with them) not buying them something and telling them to go away.

Where's the lobster? Was it her choice to go lobster fishing? It's great when a girl goes fishing. I think we're so lucky. My daughter still fishes. Not much but she does. My daughter and my (by marriage) granddaughter are flying with me to Washington state end of April 2021 for opening day trout.

When I was 15-16 years old my father had some government work so we lived in a small town Soap Lake so you had one choice of things to fish. Opening day of trout was a BIG thing. I had a drivers license and was a fishing fool. Thus I was invited to drive my friends fathers old pickup to Park Lake the day before opening day. After setting up camp the sun had just set I drug my rod out stuck on a bottled salmon egg and let drift along the bank and wam 30" Rainbow was on. I had to hide that fish till next day opening day.q

Dogs are almost as good as kids. I take mine fishing with me and if I tell her we're going fishing she'll set by the door watching me get ready.

That's a great story Fin. My opening line though was no kid with a fishing rod ever got in trouble... well a little good trouble is ok. . I liked the story. I use to sneak under a fence so I could fish bluegill at the age of 10.

Jeremy: at some age, our job is no longer to just fish for our own pleasure, but to pass the idea, skill and thrill on to younger generation, like all these kids we have seen posted along with a lot more who have yet to experience this thrill. Just Sayin...RJS

I have always said a kid never gets in trouble with a fishing rod in their hand. I have proudly taken my kids , Neighbors kids, friends kids a couple of brothers that lost their dad and my grandkids fishing when ever it was possible.
