I’ve been following this site for quite a while and have finally joined to be able to post and comment on others adventures.

My name is Brad and I’ve been fishing since as long as I’ve been able to walk. I like to fish for anything that swims but am now really focused on panfish (crappies, perch, rock bass and various species of sunfish). Hard to believe that I was once completely obsessed with bass fishing but I now like to consume the fish I catch. Now that I’m retired I’m able to join in the comrade and adventures of others

Welcome Brad. Can you go into your profile and give us your city and state? We usually have other anglers close to each other. It may help down the line with questions or comments.

Welcome Brad. Maybe you can teach us something about catching panfish. My wife & i are going after crappie tomorrow. Sometimes they can be a real challenge. Tight lines.

I have fished Shohola and really like that little lake but it’s a good hike ( about 65 miles)for me to fish it. Nice perch and gills not to mention the bass. Never fished Harvey’s but have heard good things about it. My “home lake” ( lake Minsi in Bangor) was recently drained for damn repair and is for the time being only stocked with put and take trout which doesn’t much interest me. Most likely going to be 4 or 5 years until it’s ready for the fish species I desire. I’ve lately been fishing Lake Minisink up near Bushkill Pa. Nice little lake with a good population of panfish and pretty good bass. Thanks for the welcome

Brad, you are in a walleye hotspot. Many southern Pa. fisher persons travel to Northeast to fish the big lake (Erie for those not from the area). The perch population is way down there but walleye are plentiful. If you have a boat that can handle the waves you should give it a shot. I can't help with small local lakes but Pymatuming is not far. They have walleye, musky, a decent perch population, good bass and crappie. Not sure about sunnies. Good luck. Tight lines brother.
