I had a taste of some bass fishing two weeks ago when we had more fresh after then salt water in our normal brackish water. Now i know why you bass fishers enjoy it so. Mine were only in that 12" range but decent fight from those little guys. Kind of like stripers.

The lakes have small mouth large mouth bluegill crappie catfish - have not seen any striped.
It’s cool you have a little bit of both salt and freshwater fish at times!!
