Hello fellow fishermen, have been out three times my buddy got three cats i got nothing using same bait.The other two times on the boat both of got skunked. Any advice will help i am from Boston Ma. and most of my fishing has been salt water. Would like to catch some bass

Hey boston, i am way south of you in Belhaven. Are you catching cats in salt water and looking for bass as well in salt water. Both to my knowledge are fresh water fish, however there are versions of salt water cats and bass.
So basically where are you fishing?
I had some bass last week in our brackish water but we have had a heck of a lot of rain.

i am fishing fresh water here in NC. when in MA. i fished salt. we have had a lot of rain as well almost five inches last week

Sorry Boston I only been salt water fishing but still fighting all that fresh water we got from a lot of rain awhile back.
