Picture didn't post. 8.2 pound largemouth

My fishing buddy and I have bemoaned the closing of several of our local bass fishing lakes. And when I say local, I'm talking within 2 hours drive or so. As of today, only two remain open and one for sure is closing next Wednesday. So all fisherman are being forced to these two lakes which after Weds will be one, and for sure that will close as well.

So the irony is, we chose the farthest lake and because of that, my buddy caught his personal best. 8.2 pounds on his scale that he thinks is light. I unfortunately was fishing on the wrong side of the boat again and only had one up to the boat that threw it as it flipped me off. Nonetheless, I got to net this beauty and afterwards thanked God I didn't miss it although it dived under the net my first attempt. So my buddy and I have decided to take a hiatus at least for now. We are both former long ago northerners (at least in my case) so I guess we'll pretend the lakes are frozen over. Hope all are well and healthy. I added a picture but doesn't show in the preview. If it didn't load, will do it again.

Then my scale was really wrong! Because this one only weighed 7.11 ounces.

Fillet & soak black drum fillets in water with white vinegar in fridge overnight. Fry or bake. YUMMY.
