30 degrees here at 6:15 a.m. Cold. Flurries and rain. Next 3 days off. Sunday may be up around 60 and decent. Anybody out there om SSDI and get audited by Social Security to verify wages because you are working? Still happening to me at 65. What a pain in the ... Explain to me why our government looks to penalize people who have earned benefits but still need/want to work? I realize people scam disability. I'm not one of them. Have a good one. I need to spend time figuring pay stubs from 7 years ago this weekend. Yeah, right. Sorry, just venting.

And I don't blame you, #1, Those dummies are going to spend about $10,000 trying to get maybe a $1.00 a dollar out of you. It certainly doesn't make any sense.

This will probably get tossed into the attic, so I'm going to post another "good mornin'"

32*and sunny. Shopping day in my house. Pick up what produce I need for the week then get my staples and top off my truck. Five grandkids on hand today to keep me busy after school. Enjoy the day no matter what you're doing . By the way G I don't consider it political, just a pain in the $$$.

Don't blame you for venting; my reaction would probably be
much worse ! Not sure of exact amounts, but my understanding
is that you're allowed up to
$1,000/month before it affects your benefits ! Unfortunately,
there ARE unscrupulous types
out there responsible for the BS you and I may be subjected to !
Good luck, and I hope you do
well with your audit; not sure which is worse - the people at
Social Security or the IRS ! They can both be giant hemorrhoids
on the butt of our world !
(Don't know about your bank,
but maybe getting direct-deposit or check-cashing records from
them (older statements) might
help get your records straight or be used for back-up !)
Just a thought !

Thanks Big A. When I hit 66 In June I can make as much money as I want and din"t have to worry about audits anymore. They have changed the audIt. Asking all kinds of questions now they didn't used to ask. Fortunately, I save pay stubs. Got them for the last 3 years. Figured they would audit me again so I saved them.

Good man ! Being prepared is half the battle ! (Were you by any chance a Boy Scout ?) I was in
the Scouts for a while until I got 'drummed out' when they caught me eating 'Brownies' !
(Sixty-six ? Dang ! You're still a young 'un ! But then, there are a few on here who could say that about me ! I'm sneaking up on
71 very soon, now ! (Don't want that 'senility' character to catch
up with me; that's one thing I'm NOT prepared for !)

Matter of fact, I was a Cub Scout and a Boy Scout. Probably has more to do with them auditing me twice before and figuring it would happen again. Keep your mind sharp by challenging yourself with things that make you think. Once we hit 75, about 80% of people have some memory loss. Comes with the turf. Go easy on the Brownies. Could be fattening you know. Just a rumor I think.

Used to be; much less so
lately for some reason, but no complaints if there's no
problem ! My only real problem
with them was the long waits,
but even that has improved; they're not nearly as long as
they were a few years ago !
