Takin a fellow usher from my church out tomorrow on lake Sonoma. Hope I'll be able to put us on fish at least as good as yesterday. He's not really a fisherman so it's all up to me to use my gear and to find the fish. Hopefully pics tomorrow.

Your good dude saw. Have good safe fun buddy. I used to take bunch work people out Sturgeon fishing on weekends. One day I had pickled my salmon bait ( whole herring ) from the week before in a mayonnaise jar by just using a internet pickled fish recipe ( back when barely just had America Online when most people did NOT have internet) ... anyway I had rigged everyone up with our normal and low maintenance roll mop pickled herring with silly string tied to large hook on Dacron sturgeon setup.

Then I said I’m going to try my homemade pickled salmon bait ( usually used whole smelt for sturgeon) I said I will change anyone over if they want to what I’m trying. They ALL said NO way I want this sure thing.

About 5 minutes in 45ft deep Columbia River near Kelly Point got nailed by a large Shaker ( sturgeon that is undersized for retention). Reeled it up and released it. Everyone wanted my homemade bait then.

Ain't it funny how that happens. However, that's how you are suppose to fish. Everbody tries something different and when you find out what they want that day, everbody switches over to that bait.

Good luck and have fun. But really saw1. As many different people that you take out you should start a charter. Just saying.

Oh. Hadn’t thought about that. Guess you’re right. Never mind saw. We’ll be visiting the kids in California in April, save me a spot on boat.

Yeah Dancer he may require you to do a Two Step to George Jones if you keep mentioning that. Beer Gas money and lunch is better than big bucks or other possible requirements. :)
