Another nice day on the water with no fish.
Title says it all. Four hours, tried a little this and a little that. Nothing. Lots of boats on the water. College girls practicing crew in their sculls.
Know the feeling.....not to worry....happens to me a lot,and I've got the whole Pacific to fish!.....chuckle
Yeah, it doesn't really bother me. I've been fishing for over 65 years and if I never catch another one I will still have had my share. I don't complain. It's the fishing that's important, not the catching. Beautiful day on a beautiful little lake. Fish would have been a bonus.
Feel the same way, just great to get away and enjoy the scenery.
You will get into them Spirit, good things will happen.
Been kinda slow up here in Clearlake California since the beginning of the year. Water seems really low for this time of year. Weather is starting to warm up and it’s still winter... gotta get out and catch me some
I am tinkering with the Old little 14ft Glaspar Trihull on this weekend but starting to see a boat or two on the Willamette but probably at least a month until I might try. Hopefully will test boat on some trout b4 then. The local lakes for me don’t open until end of May for Trout. There are lakes an hour or several hours away but for whatever reason its end of May now. Used to be end of April until few years ago.

You’ll get em sooner or later you mentioned the crew team I worked with a guy For years that coached a crew team
Ever now and then he would take up a collection I always gave one time he asked me and I said no I told him that I’ve been giving to them for years and if they haven’t collected enough money to buy them pore people a boat motor by now so they won’t haft to paddle that boat they probably won’t ever. We had a good laugh and then I gave.

Welcome to the Forum, Rick, I'm guessing that you will fit right in.

Don’t you know. They don’t bite until the fifth hour. lol. You’ll get some, I can feel it in my rusty old bones. Sounds like you had a great day anyway.
Hello I am going to clear lake the first week in April can you keep me or us informed as to how the bass fishing is thanks
I'd be glad to do that Mitch, but there's a guy on here goes by Half Pint Rick that lives over there be the lake and he fishes there regularly. PM him and let me know if he can help you out and if not I'll see what I can do for you.

That’s why I enjoy fishing cause it is what it says. That’s why it’s not called catching. Gotta love the fishing to enjoy the catching even more.
Yeah I know the feeling here in imperial county big lakes but no fish not even trout 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ But like a wise man said to me once that’s why it’s called fishing and not catching so I’m not giving up yet I know the day will come...question which lines and lb works good for catfish or channel lakes
