Yea back when I was a lot younger and the bait was $ 1.00 bills. Now days I bet a $ 10.00 bill gets you a look see.

Now if you want to go Striper fishing depends on where you are going and the time of year.

I know what you mean bait is expensive. When i fish in Benicia i use mudsuckers and that runs around $40 for a day of fishing

A lot of Stripers (and strippers for that matter) down here. For best success people use live bait (Blueback Herring) but for lures we catch them frequently on similar reaction bite lures that you would catch Spots or Largemouth.

Hello Cabrales2, I live in the North East. In early spring like end of April early May I have fun with schoolies Stripers 18-26 inches on sandworms. Once June hits I use live eels and bunker chunks. Freelining eels is a blast and 20-30 lb stripers hit them hard. You might even nail a 50+ especially at night. Striper59.

I've seen more posts confusing 'strippers' with 'stripers' than I can count. Do folks really not know the difference? Or do they let their cell phones do their thinking and make their decisions for them? Inquiring minds want to know.

Sometimes spell check does stupid things then other times it's the operator error that's the culprit. For those of us married guys going STRIPER fishing is cheaper than stripper fishing. And yes striper is underlined by spell check!
