Hi, I thought I'd like to try this out. I use to fish a lot. Its been quite a few years since I've dipped my line in the water. I'd like to give the sport a try again in the spring. I love bass, trout and channel cat fishing. I just thought there might be a lot of new ideas out there that I can try. I'm from the "Wild and Wonderful" State of West Virginia. Don't forget beautiful also.

Welcome to the Forum, Macey. Pink, you're an Ol' Fart here. Both of you get up too early. Macey you will have some neighbors on the Forum but the one you have to watch out for is Crazy Mike, he will lead you astray. He knows nothing about fishing and couldn't catch one if the tried. Just jerking your chain, Macey, Mike is as good as they get and knows more about fishing than Pink and me together. If he speaks, you listen!

Oh, I see that you are a lady redneck, that is so much better than an Ol' Fart redneck.

Thanks for the welcome. I'll be sure to watch for Crazy Mike. I appreciate the heads up. I'm still an Ol' Fart so to speak.

Welcome to the forum Macey. It's nice to hear from you. Judging from some of the others here from your neck of the woods you live in a place where there is lots of good fishing. If you have any specific questions about tactics and techniques just fire away. You will get more than you would ever expect. This is a good place to be. Look forward to hearing a lot from you.

I'm also from WV. Fish at Beech Fork Lake. The only time I've done any good is when the fish were spawning. Really where I fish, it may be overfished and my line gets snagged or stuck on bottom. There is line laying on shore where others have fished & got snagged. There is a trail over a mile that I would like to fish, but since alone am leary of going by myself. I have seen quite a few bass caught with live minnows but I can't stand to fish with live bait. I know how much a fish hook would hurt those little minnows or worms. Someone said on this forum that they used frozen shrimp to fish for bass. May try that when the weather warms up.

We went to the dealership to pick up our car after service, and getting there was told our keys had been mistakenly locked inside. The mechanic was working up a sweat trying to unlock the drivers door.As i stood by the passenger side, i tried the door and it opened.I yelled"HEY, ITS OPEN" he said he did that door first....
