A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, painfully, up onto a stool.
After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split.
The waitress asked kindly, 'Crushed nuts?'
'No,' he replied, 'Arthritis.'

The young cowboy saunters into a drug store, looks around slowly and then bellies up to the soda fountain. He orders a vanilla ice cream in a cone. After carefully eating all the ice cream he returns the cone. He says politely, "thanks for the use of your cone!"

Several years ago, our church hosted several groups of Chinese professionals sent to Houston to learn more about doing business in the rest of the world. There were engineers, HR professionals, lawyers, and such. My wife and I would take them to our beach house on Tiki Island (Galveston). I would during the morning freeze a bucket of homemade ice cream, and would recruit volunteers to help. Telling them the history about how ice cream was invented and since they were helping, their work was "sweat equity" and they owned part of the finished product. I noticed young lady going back for seconds and saying, " I sure do like MY ice ceam! RJS
