Hacksaw had had a few too many and was driving home. And of course he was weaving badly on the road.
A cop pulls him over and asks him where he has been."My wife and I have been out celebrating our wedding anniversary"Hack replied
The cop said "Well it appears that you have had a few too many Sir.Are you aware that your wife fell out of your car about a half mile back?"
"Oh thank heavens" cried Hacksaw
"For a while there I thought I had turned deaf!!"

Hacksaw had had a few too many and was driving hom... (show quote)

A few month later, a Highway Patrol car pulled up behind Hacksaw and turned on the flashing lights. Hacksaw floored it, but after a mile or so, pulled over.

"Why did you run?" asked the patrol officer.
"Last month, my wife ran off with a Highway Patrol Officer" answered Hacksaw.
"What does that have to do with this?" asked the officer.
"I thought you were trying to give her back" explained Hacksaw.

Its from an era that you were fed one side of the story. Read what it was really like at that time. Same crap as what's going on today overseas, just that it was at a time the current Vets were not appreciated.
