This is my Cooter.
Little guy was so sick when my wife rescued him that both his vets sent him home to die. That was almost nine years ago. He's 100% lover and so smart that sometimes it's downright scary.

Hey Mac. He looks a lot like the first cat we had after moving to Cal. from Texas except ours had long hair. He was also a love. The wife was real sick with the flu when I found him in our car port. The little guy was maybe 3 mos. old and starving to death. I brought him in to her in bed and said "look what I've got for you." That made her feel better than any medicine known to man. Had him for 13 yrs.
Had a black one like that that wandered in from a canyon that was in our backyard. Biggest cat I've ever owned, weighed up around 25 pounds. Named him Coaly. He nearly scared my wife to death when she first saw him, but he was the sweetest cat imaginable.
Your cooter looks an awful lot like others I've seen. Iguess if you seen one................

We had a long haired female named Squeeky. We lost her two years ago . She was a talker. She could say " uh oh", "oh nooo" and " meat". She was funny.

They really are something, and they all have their own personality.
Cooter looks like cool people. Bet he has a mischief streak in there.

We had an all black male kitten not long after the “Roots” miniseries played on TV. Of course we had no choice but to call him Kunta Kittay. He was one funny cat.
For years I lived with a cat named Animal Lector. Well named cat.

Everyone loves dogs, but you can't go to Heaven if you don't love cats.
Yes it's easier to love a big ole dopey Lab, than a cat! I have two labs and 6 or so barn cats. One I can actually pet when I feed them. All have ther own personalities have to say my dogs are my favorite. I have a lot of room on the farm, room for all of them.

ouch. I know how badly that hurts. Lost my 2nd best friend in the world about a year and a half ago. I'm still mourning.
