Speed bump

If you saw this in the road in front of you, would you slow down or even stop? In the small fishing town of Ísafjörður, Iceland, a new development in pedestrian crossing safety has just popped up. A new kind of speed bumps has been painted that appears to be 3D by way of a detailed optical illusion.

It would work for the newcomers and the locals for a while. I don't think it would be worth the effort, time and expense. (MHO)

Stop, rub eyes, and get out and check it. Next time look for the guy that painted it and aim for him. Just to see if he is real.

Drivers would be looking at the speed bumps and run over a pedestrian.

Now if they would really put a good bump under those blocks, and make it unseen and set up a camera.

Nice but not practical. Short term effectiveness for too big of an investment in time and money.
