I’ve been on this site for some time now. I’ve also made a few friends, kinda, and some haters for sure. I hear a lot of Christian love out there from the lovers and the haters ( check your selves ). So, we love fishing and that’s why we are here. I’d like to know, on a personal level, where does YOUR God come into your fishing life? How does it fit in? Is fishing your religion? I am an Agnostic/Pagan, my closest friends are either Jewish, Christian, Catholic, or crazy! Fishing is very spiritual to me. Again, how does your spirituality connect to fishing?🏄🏼‍♂️🎣

It doesn't. I'm not very spiritual. It's all pretty amazing and awesome but I don't tie it to anything. It is what it is and what you see is what there is. And I'm ok with that.

Awesome question B F. First let me add if you have haters because you have faith, they really have a problem. Many can disagree and voice their dislike and that is all fine and good but be polite about it. To hate, one has more problems than the dislike of a religion.

Spiritually fishing for me is the realization that I am blessed to seek and provide or enjoy a the sport of catch and release. To take in the glory of a sun rise or set, all while enjoying the scenery around that I believe the God of my choice has made. To catch is my reward for being respectful to my fellow man and Thankful that I have made it thru the day to appreciate the Lords many blessings.

Well said Plumbob! I find myself in a sort of trans or deep meditation while fishing. Hours become minutes and all worldly things seem to disappear. There’s no hate, only love for nature and the actual act of fishing itself which becomes automatic. I’ll be on the water next Wednesday... in the rain and wind, most likely one of only a handful of anglers on the lake. 🏄🏼‍♂️🎣
