Good morning everyone,

I hope everyone got good rest last night. I figured I'd jump on here and share some positivity today, cast out some good vibes and see if we cant catch a good mood this morning, aye?!

Well, yesterday as I was driving home from the VA, I hit Vets bridge here in Bay City, and all I saw out my window was fishermen.. probably 30? All jigging off the Vets Park side of the river.. it made me think just how fortunate I am. I wasnt well off just a few years ago, and "under the bridge" had it's own meaning, and it wasnt to be fishing smh.. however, as I drive across this bridge, I thank God. I'm so thankful that He saved me, plucked me out of the darkness and placed me very carefully in to the light. I'm so thankful that I can actually go fishing, and the waters I fish are top waters, so people actually pay to fish on them... I thank God for my family, my beautiful caring wife that I probably dont deserve, but that is what mercy is, right? My healthy, beautiful foot-n-a-half bundle of joy... I'm a very, very fortunate man. The fact that I can even thank God publicly shows how fortunate I am, because most around the world do not have that very freedom. I thank God for this forum. The people here are unmatched.

Its early, but its gonna be a good one!! Rise up, stretch out that arthritis (I'm in THAT process as I type lol), maybe eat some eggs, and let's tackle this day!!

Today is a blessing for sure!! You guys are blessings as well, you bless my days.. pretty much daily.

I spoke with Chaplin yesterday while I was at the VA, and I think I may want to end up in that type of position, volunteer or otherwise... I've been looking into divination school, and I'm talking with one of the pastors that mentor me and he has been showing me the way to ordination. However, the Veteran aspect of that field is starting to interest me. I'm starting to think bigger. Yesterday was a revelation-day for me. As I was sitting in the lobby of the VA mental health annex posting to this site, I had a hard time posting anything between veterans walking in and out of the lobby stopping and talking with me...stories of their own struggles, and how I, just showing up daily with a smile on my face and speaking on my struggles with addiction, ptsd, and recovery, helps them in HUGE ways.. I was humbled beyond words. To hear that the Goodness of God shines through my broken cracks, and lights the path for others.. talk about spiritual paydirt!!!

It set me on fire all over again, and showed me just how powerful "testimony" can be. The VA has kind of a gray area when it comes to religion or spiritual things in nature. About 2yrs ago, I asked a counselor what that was about and he told me that VA employees cannot bring up any spiritual beliefs, UNLESS a veteran opens that door, then they can speak freely. Well, I went about finding out the group leaders and counselors beliefs so I wouldn't offend anyone, and once I was comfortable about it, I brought up God and my own recovery at every group and meeting, JUST to "open the door".

I was told just how powerful that open door actually is, and it was confirmed over and over again...and right on time. God is GOOD!

When I talked to the Chaplin, he said "Have you thought about being an ordained Chaplin in the VA system? You would have your own beliefs to bring to the table, and theres a ton of Veterans out here who needs you and your story...you would make a powerful statement to your fellow vets, and would be an asset to Gods Kingdom. Plus, you can still do your thing outside the VA as well... you would have both areas in your arsenal."

Revelation!!! Thinking bigger!! I LOVE that idea!!

DL, do you recall the story I told you of the young man I mentored. Started as the company receptionist, to be trained as a elect tech, studied to become an engineer, and then gave it all up to become a pastor?

When God calls you, thinking bigger as you put it, just may be your calling.

I do remember, and I hope very much that is the case.. I would live this field and my faith grows daily just t pondering on it. The Chaplin was very uplifting and encouraging, no doubt words strait from the Spirit.

Love it when a plan is forming... especially when it lines up with "The Main Plan". GodBless Bob 😁👌
